The mission of Eagle Bluff is:
"To foster awareness, enhance respect, and promote personal responsibility for the natural world."
Eagle Bluff is a residential environmental learning center. Eagle Bluff is not a camp, but an accredited, special function school with a staff of licensed teachers and highly trained naturalists. The program in which your students are participating is part of their school curriculum with academic content as well as life skills.
About 75% of your student's experience will occur out-of-doors, making use of Eagle Bluff's 80 acres plus the 1000 acres of state forest around us. Balancing that, we have indoor classrooms and activity areas, a nice auditorium, great food in our Dining Hall, and comfortable night's rest are critical to good learning. Each individual dorm room houses eight students and has its own bathroom and shower.
The specific classes and programs in which your students participate are chosen by student's teachers based on which classes best compliment and extend their classroom curriculum.
Student Safety is the highest priority at Eagle Bluff. It is more important than education. Students are expected to follow a basic Code of Conduct that includes respect for themselves, each other, equipment, and Eagle Bluff itself. Students are expected to be supervised at all times.
