Farnsworth/Cleveland Site Council
 

We, Bill Lynch and Kathrine Walter, on behalf of the Farnsworth/Cleveland Site Council, would like to invite you take an active part of this school and in your child’s education by joining the Site Council.  In the Saint Paul Public Schools, Site Councils bring parents, teachers, staff, administration, community members, and business partners together to help their school be successful.  Site Councils work to meet the needs of the school. 

 

In general, a Site Council’s objectives include:

  • Improve student achievement
  • Advise on school concerns
  • Shape school policies and procedures
  • Drive school change
  • Involve the larger school community in council projects and activities
  • Have input into the selection of the school principal and sometime staff

 

A Site Council’s responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the formation of the School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP) and recommend a final draft
  • Oversee the implementation of the School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP)
  • Help plan, prioritize and recommend the adoption of the school budget

 

The next Site Council meeting is on Monday, January 26 from 4:30 – 6:00 PM at the Cleveland Library.
