Cleveland’s focus is on meeting each student’s individual needs through a variety of programs.  A low student-teacher ratio ensures all students get the individual instruction they need to thrive.  Progress reports are provided six times each year.  Each student is given a Student Planner to build their organizational skills and help build home-school communication.  All students are provided with student portal access to check their grades on-line.

Special Features:

• We offer rigorous Challenge Level classes in English, science, social studies, Spanish, art, concert band, and advanced strings.  These courses prepare students to succeed in Advanced Placement classes at the high school level.


• Extra-curricular activities include Math Team, History Day, Spelling Bee, Cool Science, Dell TechKnow, and a variety of athletic teams.


• The school has two high-tech computer labs. Teachers regularly engage students in learning through technlogy, using mobile computer labs, Smartboards, LCD projectors, and a newly renovated science lab.


• Specialized reading programs to build skills and boost interest in reading.


• Students can choose to be in a same-sex insturctional setting for select classes.


• Our students speak twenty-five languages, creating a vibrant international community.  Cleveland offers comprehensive ELL instruction to these students.
  


• Fresh Force and Peer Mediation offer students community service opportunities.


• An after-school program offers academic activities that build upon classroom learning.
